Today I got out and exercised 3 times! I started early with a ride at my local mountain biking trails. My legs were tired, but the ride was a great wake up and the spark to start my engine.
Later on, my wife (who gets up way too many times at night to nurse our baby), wanted to go down for a nap. The opportunity arose to have our middle child head out to the beach with his gramma, so I took our monster sized baby out for a hike!
Once I added my camelback full of water, snacks for him, and all the stuff that comes with having a baby(wipes, diapers, change of clothes, etc) I swear I had 50 pounds on my back! It made for a good workout, that’s for sure.
Later in the day, I had some time to kill before the little man went to bed, so I hooked up our new bike trailer to my mountain bike, strapped a helmet on his head, and I took him for a ride around the hilly neighbourhood. He was asleep within 5 minutes of hitting the pavement. Such a cutie.
With my vacation winding to a close, taking some time to relax with the kids and enjoying the outdoors has been just what the doctor ordered.
