It’s no secret that I can’t stand the heat of summer…So, when I saw clouds today, I was happy! I got out in the yard with a couple of my boys and we played. The house we are at now has a big willow tree in the yard! I love it.
It provides so much shade from the heat, and the grass beneath it is the only green grass around right now. My oldest got to pushing the youngest in the makeshift swing we put up in the branches. They both were having so much fun, and this picture just captured the moment perfectly!
Nothing touches my heart more than seeing my sons so excited to see each other! Today, my oldest came back from a fantastic vacation to Hawaii with his mom. He was so tanned! He had the biggest smile on his face, and seeing him brought a tear to my eye. Two weeks without him around makes me sad. 😦
However once he got into the house, my 1 year old son clapped, laughed, jumped up and down, and then rested his head on my oldest son’s shoulder. It was his way of saying he missed him. It was so cute!
The photo above I took as they played in a big cut out box we got at Costco. Though they are 7 years apart in age, the smiles and giggles they had for each other showed me age doesn’t matter when it comes to brotherly love.
